Route 66 Auto Service respects the privacy and communication preferences of our customers. This Customer Opt-In & SMS Consent Policy explains how Route 66 Auto Service obtains, records, and manages customer consent when customers choose to receive text messages or other electronic communications from us.

1. How Customers Provide Consent

Customers may voluntarily provide consent to receive SMS/text messages from Route 66 Auto Service through an appropriate customer communication channel, including:

  • A website form or online appointment/contact form;

  • A written or electronic customer authorization;

  • An in-person service or customer intake process;

  • A telephone or other customer-service interaction where consent is properly requested and recorded; or

  • Another method that clearly informs the customer that they are agreeing to receive text messages from Route 66 Auto Service.

Where applicable, the customer will be presented with a clear statement explaining that by providing their mobile telephone number and affirmatively opting in, they are authorizing Route 66 Auto Service to send text messages to that number.

Consent is voluntary and is not required as a condition of purchasing goods or services from Route 66 Auto Service unless specifically stated otherwise for a particular service.

2. Types of Messages

Depending on the customer's consent and relationship with Route 66 Auto Service, messages may include:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders;

  • Vehicle service updates;

  • Estimates or repair-status notifications;

  • Customer-service communications;

  • Pickup or vehicle-ready notifications;

  • Responses to customer inquiries;

  • Service-related information; and

  • Promotional or marketing messages, when the customer has separately provided the appropriate consent.

Message frequency may vary depending on the customer's interaction with Route 66 Auto Service.

3. How Consent Is Recorded

Route 66 Auto Service will maintain reasonable records of customer consent. Depending on the method used to obtain consent, records may include:

  • Customer name;

  • Mobile telephone number;

  • Date and time of consent;

  • Method or source through which consent was obtained;

  • The applicable consent language presented to the customer;

  • Relevant transaction, appointment, or customer-service information; and

  • Records of opt-out requests or changes to communication preferences.

Route 66 Auto Service will use reasonable procedures to maintain the accuracy and integrity of these records.

4. No Assumption of Consent

Route 66 Auto Service does not treat merely providing a telephone number as automatic consent to receive marketing text messages.

Where marketing SMS consent is required, customers will be asked to affirmatively opt in through the applicable consent process.

A customer may receive service-related communications that are reasonably necessary to respond to an inquiry, manage an appointment, or provide an already-requested service. Marketing communications will be handled according to the customer's applicable communication preferences and consent.

5. Opting Out

Customers may withdraw their consent to receive SMS messages at any time.

For text-message communications, customers may generally reply STOP to an applicable marketing text message to request that future marketing text messages be discontinued.

Customers may also contact Route 66 Auto Service directly at:

Phone: (630) 920-0905
Email: rt66autoservice@gmail.com

Opting out of marketing communications does not necessarily prevent Route 66 Auto Service from communicating with a customer about an existing appointment, transaction, repair, account, safety matter, or other service-related matter where such communication is permitted or necessary.

6. Re-Opting In

A customer who has previously opted out may request to receive text messages again by completing a new consent process or otherwise providing a new affirmative authorization when offered by Route 66 Auto Service.

7. Changes to Communication Preferences

Customers may contact Route 66 Auto Service to request changes to their communication preferences or to ask questions regarding their consent.

8. Changes to This Policy

Route 66 Auto Service may update this Customer Opt-In & SMS Consent Policy from time to time. The most current version will be made available on this webpage.
